Check it out! Another newsletter! Sorry this isn't a real blog post. What we lack in quality web content we make up for in our commitment to the eradication of weeds. Using this: That was in March, I believe. Now we are mostly using the trusty finger-weeder: That's all for now. Wish us luck on our first distribution!

Here is the link to our latest newsletter. There is lots to report but the weather has been so strange and we are trying to settle into a routine. So here are a bunch of pictures: Topics for later discussion include: groundhogs (WHY, GOD?!), attractive market displays, plasticulture, needing to be in great physical shape but also needing cake pretty often, beneficial nematodes/outsourcing work to bugs, and still loving each other (let's check on that in August).
Maybe now is a good time for a guest blog post. Anyone want to weigh in? What did you have for dinner last night? How about you make it for us when we get too lazy? JUNE TOMORROW. WHOA. Hi all!
We sent out our first newsletter a couple weeks ago to update our members on the crops and farm happenings. You can view it here. We didn't think we'd have many kinks to work out with a newsletter. It seemed like it was going to be super easy! We signed up for the free version of MailChimp and figured that would be that. Easy formatting, list management, done! As it turns out, "that" is a bunch of things we wish we didn't have to worry about, like domains and internet stuff. Apparently we need our own email domain (@lovegrows.whatever instead of our Gmail address) in order to get our MailChimp newsletters delivered to inboxes instead of spam folders. Who knew? Nothing to be too upset about though, because if it wasn't for that kind of protection, I'm sure we'd be getting a lot more junk mail. Domains are pretty cheap and easy to get, but of course we already set things up this way, with our Gmail account and this site hosted on Weebly. "It's easier this way!" we said, "Simpler!" So now we know, but May isn't really the time to make a switch. We're just going to post the links for you this year. |
